Paramparaa Foundation
Paramparaa signifies the carrying forward of our cultural heritage to the future generation. The origin of dance can be traced back to the temples or village squares where people congregated to learn and appreciate the art forms. Since dance was originally an important part of the temple ritual there was the Natya mandap within the temple, a distinct feature to help encourage the aesthetic value of the performing arts. On these very lines was born Gudi Sambaraalu, a beginning of romance with art and culture in 2015. Starting from the locales in and around Hyderabad, Gudi Sambaraalu has spread its wings across the remote temples of Telangana and moved on to capture the audience in and across Andhra Pradesh. This has helped to enlighten and discover the many and forgotten dance forms. It has been Gudi Sambaraalu's objective to give easy access to art forms, its significance and cultural symbolism among the common man. Gudi Sambaraalu envisages to reach greater heights by holding music and dance festival in the renowned temples and the much forgotten ancient temples.
Shashi Reddy and Dr Sri Nagi are the founders and Pramod Reddy is program director.
