The Aradhana of Sri Thyagaraja and Sri Venkatamakhi is an annual temple event. During the consecration of the Marakata Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple in 2015, we were blessed to begin this tradition in the divine presence of Dr. Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji. DFW musicians pay respect to the legendary Vaggeyakaras, Sri Thyagaraja Swami, and Sri Venkatamakhi by singing Sri Venkatamakhi's Lakshana Geetams and Sri Thyagaraja Swami's Pancharatna Kritis. Sri Venkatamakhi was a well-known scholar and the creator of the Melakarta system. The system established by Sri Venkatamakhi was cultivated by Sri Thyagaraja Swami, Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar, and Sri Syama Sastri. Nada Brahma Sri Swamiji is a descendant of this divinely-blessed family of Sri Venkatamakhi.
