Swami Nirbhayananda Saraswathi is the President of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashrama, Gadag & Bijapur, and has been a prominent spiritual teacher spreading the message of Shri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda. He took sannyasa in 1993 and has made significant contributions toward establishing Ramakrishna centers across North Karnataka, as well as starting a rural residential school and the Kannada magazine Viveka Deepthi.

Swamiji has an extensive international background and has represented India at the 4th World Parliament of Religions in Barcelona in 2004. He has also participated in interreligious dialogue at the Vatican and has traveled extensively across the United States, Europe, and other countries, speaking to students, teachers, professors, and professionals on spiritual and contemporary topics.

He was also invited to participate in the 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic Chicago address in 2018. His work promoting international understanding has earned him the title “Ambassador for Peace.”
