Sri Jonnavittula garu, a renowned Telugu poetic genius, recently authored this Yajñeśvara Sathakam in Telugu (a volume of over 100 poems with yajñeśvarā! makuṭaṁ) in praise of the Supreme Lord and dedicated it to Agni dēva. This book will be released at this ceremony.

The word Yajñeśvara is a Sanskrit compound containing two terms yajña and īśvara. taittirīya ṣaṁhita says ‘Yajnō vai Viṣṇuh’ – Viṣṇu and yajña are one and the same; they are identical.’ So, Yajñeśvara means... the Supreme Personality of Godhead (Viṣṇu) who is ascertained through performing ritualistic offerings and to whom all ‘havis (oblations)’ in a yajña go to.
