Temple Cafeteria (in Jayalakshmi Mata Hall)

With the divine blessings of Lord Hanuman and Parama Pujya Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, the Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple has started the Cafeteria for the Devotees. With tremendous growth in the Temple community, requests for fresh food to be available outside of Annadaan timings has also increased over the years.

All cafeteria proceeds go towards the development of the Temple and its programs.

History

In September 2015, HH Sri Swamiji foresaw the need and directed the Temple volunteers to start a cafeteria to serve the community’s needs. The volunteers started KSHT Cafeteria with limited hours: on Saturday (5pm-9pm) and Sunday (9.30am to 3pm) with select freshly prepared items offered at reasonable prices. These included favorites like tamarind rice, yogurt rice, tomato rice, idli, vada, poori with curry, punugulu, mirchi bajji, ladoo, carrot pickle, and juices.

Recently, KSHT Cafeteria has added kulfi and a variety of savory snacks including chekkalu and murukku. Devotees were delighted by the fresh food and courteous service offered by the volunteer staff and instantly embraced the Cafeteria. Cafeteria visitors increased beyond what the current facility could physically handle which brought the need for expansion of the kitchen.

Kitchen Expansion

A new 3200 sqft kitchen expansion was approved by the City of Frisco in 2016. The expanded kitchen project was completed in 2017. HH Sri Swamiji inaugurated the new kitchen during the Guru Mahotsav celebrations in December 2017.

It has various modern amenities such as serving windows, staging area, vent hood, larger capacity cooler, freezers and storage as well as cleaning areas. With the expanded kitchen, KSHT cafeteria will be able to serve the needs of devotees who visit the temple and grow the selection on the menu.

In addition, the new kitchen will allow the KSHT cafeteria to be open for longer hours as well as enable the regular Annadaan to scale to meet the growth in devotees and visitors to the temple.
